What we do when

We are open Monday to Friday from 7.30am with last orders at 9pm. Our chefs prepare everything from scratch every day, to take you through from breakfast to supper. The menu changes daily and we use seasonal seasonal British produce whenever we can.

Here’s a taste of Café Below:
Our breakfast 7.30 to 11am
Gordon Tudge’s smoked bacon, free range eggs, Bircher muesli, porridge with organic oats, hot buttered toast and Tiptree marmalade.
Lunch 11.30am to 2.30pm
Late lunch deal 2.30 to 3.30pm
Eat in or take-away

Our lunch counter is speedy, excellent value, and the menu changes everyday. Refresh yourself with a herb-packed crunchy Lebanese salad with proper feta or try a warming bowl of lentil, roast garlic and lime soup. Our daily vegetarian and vegan specials are still as mouth-watering as ever, and we now have daily fish specials as well.
Served all day 7.30am to 5.30pm
Coffee, cakes and sandwiches
Revive yourself at any time of day with our made-to-order sandwiches, utterly chocolately Valrhona brownies or freshly baked scones with lashings of clotted cream and jam.
After work drinks, nibbles and supper 5.30 to 9pm
Café Below is a great place to wind down with friends after work over a glass or two of sauvignon blanc and a bowl of fat and juicy Gordal olives. Still hungry? Then stay for supper. Try pan-fried sea bass with our aromatic salsa verde followed by chocolate and chestnut cake with Jude’s vanilla ice cream.
